1973 Dino GT Euro #05554 – Winner of 2 FCA Platinum Awards and 1 Best in Show

The Ferrari Dino is one of the most impressive Ferrari’s ever produced. Both Motor Trend, Forza, and Forbes Magazine picked the Ferrari Dino as one of the top ten best designed cars ever made. That’s no accident since the Dino was originally designed by legendary Italian design firm Pininfarina and original examples of these cars are the ones in which to invest. To this day, it remains one of the best designed and fastest appreciating sports cars.

The rarity and desirability of these classics sports cars have contributed to an exponential increase in value and will always be an important addition to the collector’s garage. Because it is its own brand and its personal connection to Enzo it will always be a desirable acquisition and will gain in value over time.

This 1973 Dino GT Euro (#05554) is for the distinguished and refined collector who desires the finest in a Concours-ready, top-quality restored Dino. This Ferrari owner spared nothing to achieve the highest quality in this freshly restored Dino 246 GT.

With very little rust and no signs of any accidents or poor previous repairs, this Dino was a perfect specimen for a premium restoration. Everything on this Dino was meticulously removed, documented, and restored during the restoration process. Great lengths were made to ensure quality fit and finish including removal and restoration of all fiberglass. The chassis and body were mounted on a rotisserie, hand stripped to bare metal, and all chassis pipe measured then coated in epoxy along with all inner body sheet metal. Sandwich between the floor and firewall heat and sound retardants and deadener were used with 3M insulation throughout the cockpit floor and firewall then seam sealed to reduce heat and sound.

Drive Train

The motor was professionally rebuilt in 2015-2016 with new pistons, cam chains & tensioners, rods & crank bearings. It also received re-conditioned crank, cams, rods, and rebuilt heads. The block was machined and decked with the heads. The motor then was reassemble without any smog equipment, which enhances the maximum HP and performance out of the stock motor. Gear box was thoroughly gone through with minimum replacement parts… only new synchros were installed. All the suspension, brakes, steering rack, and Koni shocks were separately restored and reinstalled. The radiator, cooling and heating systems were equipped with new hoses and newly re-plated original clamps. All of the correct finishes, cadmium plating and paint sheen were researched and used. No powder coating anywhere! All coatings where wet sprayed in a two-part urethane then baked.
